Object: inquire in innovation centers








Engineer students in the urban systems department of the University of Technology of Compiègne (France), we are working on a project that aims at the definition of the needs for an innovation center linked to our university (UTC).
The purpose of this innovation center is to enhance and develop projects in partnership with companies. This center should also have a pedagogical vocation.
Therefore, our task is to define the objectives of this building in its different aspects: Function, technical answers, human and symbolic dimension, architectural typology, technical and architectural flexibility…

In order to have a better insight on the working procedure, facilities and people interactions, we would appreciate if you share with us informations based on your experience and the building you work in. We are especially interested in spacial configuration, flexibility, intellectual production conditions... We also wanted to know if it could be possible to visit your workplace and to interview people that work daily in it. At the end of our research we will be able to give you back a global analysis about the different specific features of innovation centers that we worked on worldwide.

In order to have a better insight on the working procedure, facilities and people interactions, we would appreciate if you share with us informations based on your experience in this field, and the different aspects of innovation in this kind of building (space configuration, flexibility, conditions which enhance intellectual production, uses of the building, …). We wanted to know if, while you were concepting these buildings, you followed a certain process of creation based on your inner knowledge,or if you made a preliminary inquire in innovation and creativity fields. At the end of our research we will be able to give you back a global analysis about different specific features of innovation centers that we worked on worldwide.
