I would be happy to answer any specific questions you have about the Southwest Michigan Innovation Center. If you have a list if questions, please send it to me via email. Yes, you are welcome to visit us if your travels bring you to Kalamazoo, Michigan (midway between Detroit, Michigan and Chicago. Illinois). We utilized a local real estate developer called American Village Builders to design the facility and they worked with URS Corporation (I wasn't 100% satisfied with the work URS did, though).

Dear Guillaume,

Thank you very much for your message and for your interest in our DCED.

First of all, there is a misunderstanding; DCED is NOT a real institute but a virtual organization. It is a kind of joint venture between three faculties within TU Delft, mechanical engineering (3mE), aerospace engineering (LR) and industrial design (IO). These three faculties will offer its resources, such as man-hours, space, etc., but there is no fixed building or space for the center.

Of course, there are reasons behind this. Here in Delft, most of inter-faculty organizations including DCED do not occupy a space and remain a virtual organization. In this way, we can be very flexible perhaps. Of course, there are both advantages and disadvantages, and I do not deny eventually DCED might obtain dedicated space, but for the time being, this is the best.

Therefore, unfortunately I have nothing to tell you about “buildings”. I am sorry about this, but this is how we are now.

I'm Lucy, Heather Smith's Personal Assistant. Heather passed me your email
about your project last week. We are really interested in helping you out
and would like to take part in your research. We also thought it would be a
great idea for you to come to Bath to visit our Innovation Centre as that
would be an ideal opportunity to find out how we function and what we do
exactly.

I will try and put something together for you this week. When do you need
all the information by? I will also do my best to get the architect's plans
for the building but I am not sure how easy this will be so cannot guarantee
if this will be possible.

Dear Adeline,

Thank you for your inquiry about the Center for Innovation in
Engineering Education here at Princeton.

To answer your question, our "center" was not constructed as a
separate building. The center (a total of 4 people), occupies office
space in the School of Engineering and Applied Science here at
Princeton.

We are not a center where ideas are incubated to become technology
companies or business ventures. Our focus is on "innovation" in the
area of engineering education. While some of our work does involve
entrepreneurship, we do not provide space specifically for innovative
ideas to develop and grow.

Sorry for the late response, I was trying to identify someone who could help with your request, as I only joined the lab a few months ago.
